How much of your system’s produced water generates revenue?  What’s the difference between apparent and real water loss?  How can you best manage your systems water losses?  The Introductory Water Loss Training will help you learn the answers.

We all know that managing water loss is important to maximize system revenues, cut energy use and operating costs, improve water quality, address failing infrastructure, and mitigate impacts to limited water resources from drought or contamination.  But, to effectively manage your system’s water losses you must first quantify them.

This workshop, the first in our Water Loss series, introduces current water loss concepts, terminology, data sources, and AWWA Water Audit software – the industry standard tool for quantifying water loss and evaluating utility performance.  We will focus on gathering and developing the data needed for a water audit, teach you how to complete the audit (which is the first step in developing and implementing a water loss control program) and conduct a data validation of your water audit data.

We will also introduce the basic toolkit (covered more extensively in the second Water Loss Training) for addressing the different categories of water loss to assist with efficiently spending limited resources to reduce the quantity of non-revenue water.
